About films is seeking creative excellence within the UK film industry. We will invest a total of GBP 100,000, which will be split between a feature film and a documentary that is uniquely innovative and will enthral a worldwide audience.
In addition to financing the projects, About Films will guide the Producers through the mind field of deliverables and help to create a marketing pack for the festival circuit.
About Films will not only take on the international sales of the project, ensuring it's global success, but we will also give the successful Producers the chance to add their future projects to the About Films slate, such an offering has never been seen before in UK so make sure you apply early!

There are two main stages to Take The Initiative.
About Films will select 20 of the best and most innovative projects from the online submission, and invite the successful producers to pitch their projects to a panel of industry professionals In Jan 2009.
- You must have two short films/ Documentaries available for review
- 1000 word treatment for your Project
- Sales Pitch breaking down why your project will be a world wide success
- Completed & fully developed film or Documentary script.
We ask that you complete the below form as accurately as possible to prevent any delay on your submission. A confirmation email will be sent to you no later that 2 working days after the receipt of your project. Good luck and we look forward to receiving your project.
